Understand your Chart
The figure above shows the funnel chart offering a visual representation of revenue across various product categories. This visual helps us to understand which products are more profitable and tells us about the rate at which the revenue declines across different product categories.
The funnel chart shows us the following insights:
- Tents generate the highest revenue of $154.43M, which makes them the top-performing product.
- Sleeping Bags follow with 85.08M revenue generated.
- Products such as Rope, Lanterns, and Climbing Accessories are moderate contributors to the revenue.
- Finally, the smallest contributors are Insect Repellents, Sunscreen and First Aid.
Conclusion
Funnel charts offer a straightforward but effective means of visualizing data flow through various stages. They are easy to build in Power BI and only take a few steps. Once you get the hang of them, you can readily analyse processes, spot weaknesses, and make more informed decisions based on the data.
